Communities In Schools of Cape Fear is excited to be a partner of the Cape Fear Healthy Opportunities Pilot (HOP), a state and federally funded program aiming to improve the overall health of qualifying Medicaid members and improve healthcare costs. Our role is to provide an evidence based parenting series, Incredible Years, and serve clients struggling with interpersonal violence through case management services.

In 2023, Communities In Schools of Cape Fear, in partnership with HOP, kicked off cohorts of The Incredible Years, a specialized support group for families with children ages 6- 12!

The free sessions meet weekly for 12 weeks, and share tools to help regulate your child’s emotions, promote positive behaviors, overcome family challenges, and grow closer to your child. The goal is for each session to leave families feeling more connected, empowered and hopeful! Case management services are available through CIS Cape Fear staff during and after each cycle of the Incredible Years.

Sessions of the Incredible Years are offered in both Pender and New Hanover counties.
