Board of Young Professionals

The Board of Young Professionals (BYP) of Communities In Schools of Cape Fear introduces young professionals to the programs and work of CIS.

The group is made up of professionals who are interested in giving back to their community, while gaining valuable board membership experience.

The goal is to promote the mission of CIS Cape Fear through volunteer, advocacy, and fundraising activities.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

-Attend nine BYP meetings per year.

-Participate in one or more fundraising opportunities.  This may include a BYP fundraising event or another Communities In Schools of Cape Fear event.

-Volunteer 5 hours working with a CIS student or with a CIS program.

-Make an annual personal financial contribution to the organization.

-Legal, fiscal and moral responsibility, along with  fellow board members, for the well-being of the BYP.
